Q: Are my transactions secure? A: All transactions completed over the internet with Berings.com are conducted on our SSL secure server. This means that any information you send is encrypted so that only Bering's can read it. For additional information on security, please visit our Site Security section above. Q: I have a Bering's account that I use when I am in the store. Can I use this over the internet? A: Unfortunately, the answer is no. You have an instore credit that can't be used to purchase items over the internet. Bering's does accept most other major credit cards though. If you would like to use your Bering's charge, you will need to follow the instructions to order offline by phoning us your order at 1-800-BERINGS (1-800-237-4647).
Q: When I click the "checkout" button I get an message saying that I am "about to enter a secure server". What does this mean? A: Read the message carefully. This is usually just a notification message that certain browsers use to warn you that you are about to use a secure server. You can just click on the message and continue.
Q: How do I use a regular server instead of a secure server? A: To place an order on the regular server, uncheck the secure server box at the bottom of the shopping basket screen, and then click on "Checkout".
Q: When I click "checkout" I get a blank page or nothing happens A: While your computer is trying to connect to our Secure Server you may see a blank page. When you visit Berings.com from a public computer, such as at an office, library, or cafe, the server at that location may block your access to secure servers. When this happens, fill out your shipping and billing information using the regular server, print this information off and phone your order in to 1-800-BERINGS.
Q: How much does shipping cost? A: When you select a shipping option, we go out to UPS, ABF Freightlines, or U.S.P.S. and based get a cost from them based on the package weight and the destination. This is the cost that you will be charged for. Q: How do I order more than one of the same item of different colors, sizes, etc.? A: When selecting more than one size it is necessary to add the item to your cart once for each customization. For example if you are ordering coffee and want two bags of whole bean and one bag of drip ground add the item to your cart with a quantity of two selecting whole bean then go back and add the same item with a quantity of one selecting drip ground.
