Bering’s Bridal Feature – Jaclyn & Stephen

Bering’s Bride & Groom – Jaclyn Dienna & Stephen Wedemeyer

Bride and Groom to be, Jaclyn and Stephen never would have guessed they would be getting married. The pair dated briefly while attending Memorial High School, in Houston, Texas. While they continued to be friends after high school, they eventually lost touch. Thankfully, they were reunited after Stephen found Jaclyn on Facebook. After reacquainting themselves as friends, they started dating…. And the rest is history!

Hearing about the couple’s engagement was quite spectacular. Jaclyn returned home from dental school one evening, and was surprised with a heartfelt proposal. Stephen had filled Jaclyn’s apartment up with yellow tulips!! (Girls, pull your jaws up from the floor.) After the big “I DO”, the newly engaged couple headed to Reef, a local restaurant, to celebrate with friends. …Talk about one amazing evening!!

The soon to be Mr. & Mrs. will be married on July, 23, 2011 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, with the reception to follow at the Houston Country Club.

When I asked the couple why they chose to register at Bering’s, they had two very distinct answers! Jaclyn explained that she had grown up coming to Bering’s with her mother, and was excited to continue the Bering’s tradition. While not married yet, Stephen had a very smart answer, “I just do what I am told.” …To which I said, “Jaclyn, you are marrying a very smart man!”

The two started their wedding registry off with Bering’s Bridal Specialist, Molly Mulvaney.  Molly steered the couple toward options that complemented their individual tastes and lifestyle. While there are sure to be festive dinners in the future, the couple was also very interested in preparing for the equally important informal get-togethers.

Jaclyn and Stephen ended up with an amazing selection of everyday, formal and serve ware- with  some “manly” items in the mix (Yeti cooler anyone?).

Yeti cooler

Formal China Pattern: A paired look with Mottahedeh’s Blue Lace and Imperial Blue (A-MA-ZING!!)

Stemware Pattern: La Maison, Operette Clear …Pure eye-candy!

Keeping with tradition, Jaclyn and Stephen decided to add Gorham’s Chantilly pattern as their formal place setting. Jaclyn’s mother and grandmother have this pattern. …And we all know why- it is the perfect blend of delicate sophistication!

The last “BIG” stop to finalizing their efforts in china was selecting their everyday place setting. The two could not have picked a more amazing setting! VIETRI made the cut!! …And boy will their guests be in for a treat! …Don’t you agree?

(We think they were whisked away by our Vietri display… who isn’t?!)

Jaclyn and Stephen wrapped up their bridal registry, with a stop or two to look at bbq grills, Yeti coolers and mixers. Come on, shouldn’t Stephen have a little fun too?!

Once the two wrapped up their registry items, it was finally time to start picking out their official announcement to the world- the SAVE THE DATES AND WEDDING INVITATIONS!

Bering’s Stationer, Summer, met with the couple to review their many stationery options.  Fun was had by all as they perused the range of choices.

Jaclyn and Stephen are quite the couple! Molly, Summer and I had a great time with the two and look forward to hearing about the great parties and get-togethers to come… At the very least, we expect to see pictures of their pretty tabletops!!

…Until the next BRIDAL buzz!

Wedding fun,

Julie
