How to Create the Perfect Holiday Tablescape with Bering’s

Is there anything more Southern than hosting? Southerners are the kings and queens of hospitality, and there’s never a better time to host than the holidays. From intimate holiday celebrations with friends to large family festivities, Bering’s has everything you need to create the perfect tablescape.

Table Decor

The first step to setting the mood of the party is to set the table. Table decor is everything when it comes to hosting and creating the ideal vibe.

For fall table decor, Herend is your first stop. We love these Herend Pumpkin figurines and stunning Herend Maple Leaf accents. Add the Herend Mushroom Trio and the iconic Herend Squirrel. Finish your tablescape with these Herend Acorn Place Card Holders for a picturesque fall setting.

As you move into the holidays, subtle and elegant decor touches elevate your table without being gaudy. These Christmas Cowboy Boot Acrylic Stir Sticks, alternating with Longhorn Santa Acrylic Stir Sticks, are the perfect way to blend the holidays with the Hill Country.

Another fun way to incorporate the holidays into your tablescape is to add an ornament to each place setting, such as a Menorah ornament or these Smathers & Branson Alamo Ornaments. If you have a guest celebrating their first holiday, consider adding a milestone holiday ornament such as this Reed & Barton Baby’s First Ornament Rocking Horse to mark the occasion.

These Herend Christmas Trees or Reed & Barton Nativity Musical Snowglobes are the perfect modern touches to finish the holiday table.

Let’s move into the dishes. The holidays are the time to put away the everyday set and break out the fancy ones. Plus, a special, on-theme plate can really bring the whole tablescape together.

These Arte Italica plates are stunning and set a beautiful winter scene. For a bolder pop of color, try these Bernardaud Noel plates. Who doesn’t love Santa? For a more whimsical, playful feel, add these Vietri Santa plates.

Lastly, calling all Nutcracker fans — these Vietri Nutcracker plates are the perfect addition to a pre-ballet fête.

The final addition to any tablescape is the linens. From tablecloths to napkins to runners, linens bring the final table all together. And remember, don’t be afraid to mix, match and layer when it comes to your linens.

For fall parties, we love these Saro Napkins featuring the stately turkey or pheasant. Or, opt for a personalized route and monogram these Bodrum Iznik Paprika Napkins. For the holidays, these Snow Pine Linen Napkins transport us to a day well-spent on the ski slopes out west or abroad.

A table runner can add a splash of color to the table center, such as this Hester & Cook Navy Woven Floral Runner that incorporates the holiday’s blue hues. For a full tablecloth, we love this Pomegranate Caroline Red Tablecloth that will hide any wine spills as the evening progresses.

The final base layer to the whole tablesetting is the placemat. These Juliska Isadora Evegreen Placemats pair bold green colors with texture in the whimsical pom-poms. For a more neutral, winter wonderland look, try these Bodrum Holly White/Silver placemats. A neutral base always gives you extra room to add in different colors and shades without worrying about clashing hues.

Whatever the occasion, Bering’s has everything you need to make your table truly pop and create an event to remember.
