Holiday Décor Galore!

If our two Bering’s Hardware stores had the beautiful display windows that many popular boutiques in New York City do, then everyone would be able to enjoy the beautiful Thanksgiving and Christmas vignettes we have during the holiday season. However, since we do not – we thought we would feature them in this blog so you can enjoy them at your leisure!! We do believe “It is the most wonderful time of the year!” and do our best to spread that sentiment with holiday décor to put you and your loved ones in the holiday spirit! …So if you are currently just not feeling the holiday spirit or perhaps a bit of a “bah humbug” then get ready to be inspired!

While it is tempting to cut right to the chase and show a Christmas picture, it would be wrong to leave out a couple of beautiful Thanksgiving settings. We are pretty sure you’ll agree that the only thing missing from the two vignettes below is the turkey and dressing! …And of course the cheer of family and friends.

In looking at the picture below, try to picture various décor pieces in your own home. The precious pumpkin pie servers would be so cute and fun as a little extra pizzazz to any meal. Not to mention the gorgeous serving trays that are just perfect for placing ham, turkey or any of your favorites on! …Oh, and we can’t forget to mention the crazy adorable pumpkin cachepot! It would be great to serve some warm soup from that heirloom piece.

Food aside, the decorative pumpkins under the table are essential to “round-out” any holiday decor. The added perk is that they are easy to store and can be used year-after-year!Thanksgiving inspired vignette

As timeless as all things Arte Italica are, they’ve really outdone themselves even more than usual with their Medici collection featured below. The warm hues in the place setting might be synonymous with fall colors and Thanksgiving beauty, but somehow seem to work throughout the year with the simple switch of a different color placemat or tablecloth. You and your guests will be almost as excited about the hand painted craftsmanship of the dishes! (Well, almost – Thanksgiving dinner is hard to top!) Also, adding to the ambiance of the tabletop below are gorgeous pieces by Jan Barboglio, Simon Pearce and William Yeoward – for the love of all things pretty! Yes, please!
Medici collection from Arte italica at Bering's…Okay, finally! It is indeed beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We especially love Juliska’s Country Estate pattern featured below because it too is meant to be used year round. The added plus is that the pattern’s crimson on white also lends itself to a Christmas feel, especially when paired with a holly plant, Santa Claus figurine or other festive décor!
Juliska’s Country Estate pattern at Bering's HardwareHmmm, now we all know the holidays aren’t exactly waistline friendly, BUT if you stick with cupcakes like the ones below you should be okay!! Still, we are right there with you in knowing the odds of that happening are slim to none or a fat chance – pick your pun! It’s okay that’s what New Year’s resolutions are for.

On a decorative note, the candy jars to the left are gorgeous to feature ornaments in and a really easy way to do so. The same can be said about using a large glass or crystal bowl as a center piece. And well, aren’t those two nutcrackers too cute with the tea pot and tea cups as hats? They have a slight whimsy feel reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland!
Nutcrackers, Sweet! While cruising around the Bering’s gift shop we had to include a picture of our gorgeous selection of table runners. Any of the runners featured below would be the perfect complement to a holiday tabletop!
Table Runners at Bering's Hardware…Who doesn’t love nutcrackers?! That is what we thought! One nutcracker is great, but multiple nutcrackers are even better! And we apologize for not getting all of the superbly perfect Bernardaud place settings in the shot! They are all equally gorgeous!!
Nutcrackers, tooThe sweet little Christmas vignette below is perfect for any home – big or small. Cleverly placing some Christmas décor can really add just the right amount of holiday joy! …Perhaps you could copy the look in your own home by placing your child’s picture with Santa in the frame below? The good news is we will be offering pictures with Santa at both Bering’s locations every Saturday and Sunday from the weekend after Thanksgiving through the weekend before Christmas!
Christmas ViginetteNow if you squint your eyes a bit you can see Gien’s Filet Noel place setting in the back. Gorgeous, beautiful, classic – we can keep going on but think you get the point!
Gien’s Filet Noel at Berings.comOh deer! Really though, these little reindeer are just too cute.
Oh, deer If you have a preferred decorating color or theme then the picture below should brighten your eyes a bit! We love the vignette below for so many reasons, but here are a few:

1. Adding a few small Christmas trees/décor to a table or shelf is a realistic and achievable look that works in any home. Once again, big or small spaces alike!
2. Solid or monotone décor really transcends throughout the years and the ones featured below are no exception.
3. Gold and metallic hues just happen to be trending right now! And we all need a little sparkle sometimes.
Gold and metallic hues with a little sparkleBlue and white, lovely and light, oh so right! …Blue and white is classic with anything on the home décor front and Christmas décor is certainly no exception! We also love this look because many of our customers have blue and white china patterns. No matter what color your china pattern is, taking inspiration from your setting is a great option to consider – especially the Wedgwood pattern below! The Waterford goblets and Simon Pearce bowl frame out the look so nicely! L-o-v-e-l-y!
Waterford goblets and Simon Pearce bowlMoving on to our last holiday picture, we think you’ll agree that we saved one of the best for last! The mini airstream camper is so funny and cute even the hardest to please of your guests will have to crack a smile! And the ornaments in the bowl next to it make excellent gifts for the camper(s) in your life!
mini airstream camper christmas We debated on whether or not the picture below fit in with this blog post, and while the answer leaned more towards “no”- we thought the pug cozied up in his bed next to the fireplace was a good way to wrap the post up. After all, most dog lovers would agree that pets are family too! While out and about crossing off your holiday shopping list we hope you keep in mind our great selection of pet toys and beds. It would be sad to leave Fido out! For even more holiday inspiration we hope you come visit us or save some of these images to draw a bit of creativity from in your own home. Have joyous holiday season!!!
