At Bering’s Hardware on Bissonnet, assistant store manager Walt Haralson said Yeti coolers and mugs are the hot gifts this year.

“Today is snatch and grab day,” Haralson said. “It’s the 24th, everybody’s waiting to get that last minute gift, whatever they need to get, be it coffee, candy, last minute whatever.”

Phil Buscovich is buying one of the Yeti coolers as a last minute gift for himself.

“When I just left the house, my wife said, ‘now I don’t want you to get anything for me,’ and I said, ‘well, I’m not!” Buscovich said.
