Never microwave an item with gold or platinum trim.
Avoid storing acid-based foods in a painted porcelain container for an extended period of time.
Dust with a soft cloth and non-lemon-based products. Avoid abrasives.
When storing, place felt pads or other padding for protection between stacked plates.
